FUEL CONDITIONER FOR HEAVY-DUTY DIESEL ENGINES
AND OIL-FIRED GAS TURBINES

DESCRIPTION:

ALKEN EVEN-FLO® 912 is a surfactant-catalyst blend designed to improve fuel economy and reduce smoking in oil-fired engines and turbines, and to control injector fouling and deposit build-up in the combustion and exhaust areas of Diesel engines. Similar to Even-Flo 911, except for its higher flashpoint and increased emulsification of water into micro-droplets that do not interfere with fuel burning or cause corrosion. ALKEN EVEN-FLO® 912 can also be used to treat fuel oil that contains a higher level of water than can be micro-emulsified by ALKEN® EVEN-FLO® 91OE.

BENEFITS:

  • Cleans deposits from dirty engines.
  • Improves fuel-air blending.
  • Increases combustion efficiency.
  • Reduces smoking.
  • Reduces maintenance and downtime for overhauls.
  • Provides better all-around operation and power.
  • Minimizes sulfur residue adherence.
  • Carries a "NON-COMBUSTIBLE" label for transportation
  • Minimizes acid-sulfate (sulfur) corrosion.
  • Assures maximum engine life through reduced wear.

DOSAGES:

ALKEN EVEN-FLO® 912 treatment should be applied at the rate of 1 gallon per 1000 gallons of fuel. After sufficient operating time for the combustion system to stabilize, dosage can be adjusted up or down as needed to arrive at the minimum dose needed to achieve the desired results. For onroad applications (outside the US), a higher dose can be safely used to rapidly clean out a dirty engine (see California case study), but does not offer the same economy for long term use.

PLEASE NOTE: The only manganese that is authorized by the USEPA as a fuel treatment ingredient for onroad use is MMT. This product contains another, less expensive manganese, so this formulation is not EPA registered for on-road applications in the United States.

ALKEN EVEN-FLO® 912 can be added directly to the fuel storage tank before delivery, or it can be metered into the fill line during delivery. Either procedure will insure thorough mixing with the fuel oil being used to run boilers, when fuel oil contains higher water contamination than can be micro-emulsified by ALKEN EVEN-FLO® 910E. Apply 1 gallon for each 4,500 to 7,000 gallons of water-contaminated fuel oil, which translates to a dosage range of 140 to 220 ppm.

PACKAGING AND HANDLING:

ALKEN EVEN-FLO® 912 is shipped in containers conforming to Performance Oriented Packaging specifications. Contains aromatic hydrocarbons. Safety goggles and neoprene gloves are recommended when removing from drums. Handle in a well-ventilated area to minimize exposure to vapors. Non-Combustible. Store and use away from heat, flame, or other ignition sources.
