3. Hazards Identification

Emergency Overview: Caution: Eye, nose and throat irritant.

Potential Health Effects:

  • Signs and Symptoms of Acute Overexposure: Eye, nose, and throat irritation and dizziness if used in unventilated area. Acute inhalation of vapors may be narcotic or anaesthetic. Ingestion of liquid will cause gastrointestinal distress, irritation and possibly nausea. Liquid or vapors may be irritation to skin and eyes.
  • Signs and Symptoms of Chronic overexposure: Data from animal studies indicate that excessive skin contact with undiluted product may cause liver damage (e.g. jaundice). When this material is handled using normal protective measures, there should be no significant hazard.
  • Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Chronic asthma may be exacerbated by fumes from this product.
