DESCRIPTION:

ALKEN® FIRESIDE 981 is a liquid catalytic fireside additive for coal-fired installations. The active catalytic component is a soluble manganese carboxylate. Manganese is the most effective and most commonly used metal additive for improving combustion and suppressing smoke in both coal- and oil-burning applications. Manganese also acts to impede the formation of sulfur trioxide, the principal cause of cold-end corrosion

This product is no longer offered since modern fluidized bed coal burning units obviate all use of additives and older coal burning applications have not requested assistance from us in over 10 years.
