LIQUID AMMONIA NITRIFIER FOR AQUARIUMS, GARDEN PONDS

DESCRIPTION:

ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1100 is a liquid blend of nitrifying bacteria designed to control ammonia and nitrite in aqauriums and small garden ponds. ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1100 is particularly popular for intensive cultivation of valuable decorative fish, where high buildup of excess nutrients leads to proliferation of excess algae and other problems. Where BOD/COD is also high, it is recommended that ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1002 ,soluble dry water cleaning formula be applied to break down excess organics and suspended fecal matter and solids, without sticking to glass-walled aquariums. .Fish hatcheries, fish farms, lobster pens, prawn farms, natural lakes, ponds and rivers usually use our extra concentrated Alken Clear-Flo 1100-50x instead of this single strength product.

CHARACTERISTICS:

 Appearance  Slightly turbid liquid
 Odor  Slight
 pH  7.5
Ammonia Oxidation Rate:  10 mg NH3/liter/hour*
 Ammonia Nitrogen  <10 ppm
 Nitrite Nitrogen   <10 ppm

FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

  •  Promotes a healthy aquatic environment for aquariums and small ponds.
  • LOWEST DOSAGE OF ANY AMMONIA NITRIFIER ON THE MARKET
  • Reduces or eliminates loss of valuable fish and other species due to toxic ammonia concentration.
  • Effective in BOTH fresh and seawater.
  • Effective even at relatively high BOD/COD (under 200 ppm)
  • Effective over a wide temperature range (49 degrees F to 149 degrees F).
  • Effective over a wide pH range (6.5 to 8.5). Performs best at 7 to 8 pH.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

For USA aquariums: For startup apply 1/4 to 1/3 oz for each 100 gallons. Follow with 1/8 oz once a week for three weeks then continue with 6 to 8 drops a week for maintenance.

For metric aquariums: For startup, apply 1.8 to 2.5 cc or ml for each 100 liters (26 gallons) of water.. Weekly follow up for the next three weeks is 0.9 cc or ml per 100 liters of water. Maintain with 0.5 cc (ml) once a week thereafter. There is no lower dosage aquarium Nitrifier on the market. Application with a syringe makes dosage measurement easier for aquariums and small garden ponds.

For tanks/ponds 250 gallons + or 1000 liters+: see Aquaculture/Lake/Pond dosage charts f

Nitrifiers consume 7.2 ppm of alkalinity for each ppm of ammonia oxidized to nitrate, so adjust alkalinity if necessary to stay within that range. Avoid using algaecides, herbicides, and antibiotics when using any ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® product.

Alken-Murray recommends AGAINST buying diluted nitrifiers (ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1100) in 55 gallon drums because the bacteria sink to the bottom of the drum, making them difficult to distribute properly when needed for application. It is NOT possible to use a peristaltic pump to dispense nitrifiers, since they cannot be suspended without vigorous stirring.
