COOLING WATER DISPERSANT

DESCRIPTION:

ALKEN® DISPERSE 328 is a non-ionic surfactant especially designed for use in industrial cooling water systems where mud, silt, and oil are contaminants. ALKEN® DISPERSE 328 helps keep these troublesome substances suspended in the circulating water and minimizes their tendency to settle and foul heat exchange surfaces, tower fill, and other critical areas. ALKEN® DISPERSE 328 also acts as a penetrant aid for microbicides, allowing efficient kill even under slime masses.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Maintains system clear of mud, silt and oil.
  • Reduces underdeposit corrosion potential.
  • Promotes heat transfer efficiency.
  • Cleans fouled systems without removing them from service.

DOSAGES:

ALKEN® DISPERSE 328 dosages depend upon the nature of the contaminants and the operating characteristics of the cooling water system. Treatment level can range from 20 to 100 ppm.

FEEDING:

ALKEN® DISPERSE 328 can be fed continuously or intermittently. Some foaming may occur at the higher dosages associated with intermittent (slug) feeding, but can easily be controlled by using an antifoam such as ALKEN® ANTIFOAM 880.

PACKAGING AND HANDLING:

ALKEN® DISPERSE 328 is shipped in containers conforming to Performance Oriented Packaging specifications. Consult the current Material Safety Data Sheet for handling and storage precautions.
