 ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7000

Material Safety Data Sheet

GENERAL BACTERIAL WASTE DEGRADER

DESCRIPTION:

ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7000 is a concentrated dry blend of specially developed non-pathogenic, Biosafety Level 1 strains of bacteria (3 strains of endo-spore forming Bacillus and 4 strains of gram-negative vegetative species) for use in domestic, municipal and industrial wastewater, soil remediation and agricultural applications, where the naturally occurring microbial population is inadequate for timely bioremediation. The microorganisms in ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7000 have the ability to degrade septage and difficult compounds such as detergents, paper, oil, grease, and hydrocarbons. ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7000 also controls sulfide and other odors arising from the breakdown of sulfur compounds and effectively reduces biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), and suspended solids (SS).

CHARACTERISTICS:

 Bacteria count:  3 billion CFU/gm.
 Appearance:  Free-flowing, brown powder
 Odor:  Yeast-like

FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

  • Resistant to high levels of heavy metals, organic solvents, pesticides, phenols, etc.
  • Cultures grow in either the presence or absence of oxygen.
  • Significantly improves the performance of septic tanks, lagoons, activated sludge, trickling filter and waste holding basins.
  • USDA authorized for use in the waste system of plants where food is manufactured
  • Effective over a wide temperature 10 deg.C to 49 deg.C (49 deg. F to 120 deg.F) and pH range (5.5 to 9.0)

DOSAGES:

Cesspools, septic tanks, and drainfields: use 3 to 4 oz weekly.

Lakes/Ponds: Product is also known as ALKEN CLEAR-FLO 1007. See information on that application.

Agricultural applications, see special bulletin.

Although product may be applied dry, for optimum bacterial performance, we recommend that you hydrate ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7000 before application. Thoroughly mix each pound of dry product with two gallons of warm (approx.70 F) water without chlorine. Allow the mixture to hydrate for two hours, stirring vigorously every half hour. After final settling, carefully pour off the top liquid layer for use, squeeze all liquid from the bran that has settled into the liquid and either dispose of the remaining bran, or toss into the system. Avoid use of algaecides, herbicides, and antibiotics when using any ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® product.
