| ALKEN® LRSD 890 is an effectively inhibited liquid acid cleaner which is formulated to remove deposits in all types of non-potable water systems. ALKEN® LRSD 890 easily removes deposits of calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, and/or iron oxides without attacking the underlying metal surfaces. The acid used in ALKEN® LRSD 890 converts these deposits into water-soluble salts; iron oxide removal is hastened by the ability of the acid to form a stable soluble complex with the iron in the deposits. The organic inhibitor system used in ALKEN® LRSD 890 was recently improved by the addition of patented inhibition technology, electrolytically protecting metal surfaces from attack by the acid, while ensuring maximum efficiency descaling and rinsability. | The dosage of ALKEN® LRSD 890 needed to clean a system depends on the size of the system, the type of deposit present, and the total amount (or thickness) of the deposit. Generally, ALKEN® LRSD 890 is used in a twenty percent concentration in water. Heavier deposits may require higher dosage. If a stronger inhibited acid cleaner is needed, consider using ALKEN® DRSD 886, the most powerful and effective powdered inhibited acid cleaner available. |
ALKEN® LRSD 890 is a concentrated liquid acid product. Strict adherence to the safety procedures prescribed, especially those in the Material Safety Data Sheet, is necessary in order to handle and use this product safely. Protect container from physical damage. Do not strike containers or fittings with tools or hard objects. Keep container closed and dry, when not in use. Store away from heat and oxidizing agents (yellow label). Wash thoroughly after handling. Emptied container may retain vapor and product residue. Store in a "Corrosives" area.
