Alken 894 - Oxygenated Liquid Nitrogen Nutrient

NUTRIENT AID FOR ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® & ALKEN ENZ-ODOR® BACTERIAL CULTURES

 DESCRIPTION:

ALKEN® BIO-NUTRIENT 5 is a rapidly absorbed powdered nutrient supplement designed to enhance bacterial metabolism of toxic chemicals in industrial waste by the Alken Clear-Flo® 4003, 4004, 4006, 4007, 7000 series and Alken Enz-Odor® 6, 8 & 14. This formula is required for degrading industrial wastewater that is high in organic carbon compounds and contains sufficient soluble phosphate to balance the concentration of organic carbon present, while suffering a serious nitrogen deficiency. Ammonium chloride was selected for use in ALKEN® BIO-NUTRIENT 5 because this form of nitrogen is easily ingested by a very wide assortment of heterotrophic bacteria and fungi. While the waste-water is being analyzed for basic nutrients (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, TOC, COD, BOD, dissolved oxygen, etc.), additional tests should be performed for pH, alkalinity, unusual suspected pollutants, micro-nutrients and minerals. ALKEN® BIO-NUTRIENT 8 or ALKEN® 896 BioStimulant can be used to supplement micro-nutrient deficiencies, while triggering enhanced germination rates and overall improved performance of Alken-Murray microbial cultures, even if no deficiency exists. A pH controller can be set up to attach two Tygon tubes from reservoirs to a two-reservoir metering pump. With this setup, one reservoir delivers acid and the other one delivers base. Eliminating wildly fluctuating pH reduces stress on the bacteria so that they more rapidly deliver desired results.

Filamentous species REQUIRE "reduced forms of nitrogen", such as "dinitrogen" or "N2" as their required source of nitrogen, but combining "oxygenated forms of nitrogen", such as "sodium nitrite" or "potassium nitrate" with most forms of organic carbon can lead to potential issues of flammability or explosiveness, especially when considered in a confined area. Alternatively, a liquid oxygenated form of nitrogen can be used in wastewater to supplement the hydrated powdered nutrient blend, ALKEN® BIO-NUTRIENT 10, which provides the maltodextrin and whey protein concentrates organic carbon, monosodium phosphate (MSP) and disodium phosphate (DSP). ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7015 contains specialized strains, capable of digesting the Trehalose-baased surfactant produced by Nocardia, Cyanobacteria, etc.while also competitively excluding them by targeting their preferred nutrients of fatty-acids, food FOG and starch. While filamentous species do enjoy the ability to fix nitrogen from the air, they require their organic carbon and soluble phosphate to be present in the wastewater or fermentation broth they intend to digest. By supporting ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7015 with ALKEN® BIO-NUTRIENT 10, the final selection of nitrogen source is left to the plant manager, applying either ALKEN® 894 or ALKEN® BIO-NUTRIENT 5, this product
