SOLUBLE, manufacturing concentrate, dry blend of 11 natural, non-pathogenic, spore-forming, gram-positive Bacillus specifically selected for use in aquariums and garden ponds, to rapidly degrade a wide assortment of proteins, starches, fats, carbohydrates, fibers and excreta that contribute to murky water, reduced oxygen and buildup of algae and sediments. ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1002 contains specialized aerobic and facultative anaerobic strains which oxidize deadly hydrogen sulfide, reduce buildup of nitrates, clean mold stains off aquarium glass walls and degrade organic and fatty acids, common contributors to unpleasant odor in aquariums. • Most dry products have a 2 year shelf-life, unless noted elsewhere and then lose 1 log of count per year, thereafter.
• Liquid products containing exclusively spore-forming Bacillus with preservatives, with or without additional ingredients, also have a two year shelf -life.
• Liquid products containing both Bacillus and gram-negative strains have a 6 month shelf-life. This is why we discontinued CF 4103, 4104 and liquid versions of most mixed-gram CF 7000 line products, leaving only the Bacillus products and the hydrocarbon-degrading CF 7136,
• Liquid products containing both Bacillus and gram-negative strains with surfactant added extends shelf-life up to 1 uear. (CF 4100 & 7100)
• Nitrifiers and liquid products containing nitrifiers (1100, 1200, 7110) have a 6 to 9 month shelf-life.
